The Aldi brand is not as well known as I feel like it should be in the United States of America. It is certainly a huge chain of grocery stores in Europe as it hails from Germany. If you have never visited one I would encourage you to take a trip to one. It is the total opposite experience to being inside a typical american grocery store. It has only a few isles, features actually good for you food. It has amazingly low prices. They even carry an entire line of organic fruits, vegetables, and grass fed meat. From the official Aldi website:
ALDI cares about our customers, employees, communities and our role as a business, working every day to help create a better world to live in. We want our customers to love grocery shopping as much as we do. That’s why we listen to them – their suggestions, their wants and their needs – so we can provide them with the products and services they care about most. We take our time choosing our products so we can guarantee quality and freshness, all while keeping our shoppers’ grocery carts full and their wallets even fuller. It’s our job to make sure our customers can trust that the products they buy at ALDI have been grown, caught or made with care for the environment and the people involved in bringing them to market. We work closely with our partners and suppliers to offer products our shoppers can feel good about. We are devoted to upholding the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
So in the spirt of ALDI, we would like to think that during this job we carried two more of the attributes that makes The Friendly Plumber: Professionalism and Integrity. This job required both of these because it wasn’t a high budget project but it needed to be done with the right materials and the right way the first time. Without both professionalism and integrity we never could have delivered such a project on time, on budget, without any shortcuts.
